Free Sports Physicals

Due to a high possibility of bad weather tomorrow, the 2nd Grade Field trip has been cancelled. We are going to have a Back Yard Bash in the gym instead. Make sure your child wears tennis shoes.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the field trip to Brown’s Farm for tomorrow has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 20th. The teachers are sending home an updated permission slip for you to sign. The teachers are planning to make tomorrow a fun day for the students so they won't be too disappointed.

Our 3rd grade students are expected to be home about 5:15. Please park in the large parking lot to the side of the school and leave the bus loop for bus traffic only. Make sure you tell the teacher who you are picking up.

Our fifth grade is expected to be back from Louisville about 3:30. Please park in the large parking lot at the side of the school to pick up your fifth grader. Please do not get in the car rider line and do not drive in the bus loop since we will have students loading buses.

Spring picture proofs are being sent home today. Your orders are due by April 9. Have a great spring break!

Kindergarten Registration is at Beaver Dam Elementary on Thursday, March 12 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Enter the door by the library. Make sure you have your photo ID.

Just a reminder that our blood drive starts Wednesday, January 14. Make sure you have your photo ID ready when you enter at the car rider entrance. We look forward to seeing you there!

We hope to see you at the Fall Festival Friday, October 24 from 5:30-7:00. We have plenty of games, inflatables, crowning of the royalty, silent auction and pizza. Tickets are on sale during lunch for 5 for a $1.00. Tickets Friday night are 4 for $1.00.

Studio II will be at Beaver Dam Elementary Thursday, September 11 to take fall pictures.

This is Ginger Tichenor, Principal at Beaver Dam Elementary. I wanted to invite all of our kindergarten students to attend Jumpstart Kindergarten on Thursday, July 7. There are two sessions. 8:30-11:00 and 12:00-2:30.

Kentucky Department of Education has made some changes in the medication procedures we must adhere to. We still have medical professional standing orders for medications such as: Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Tums, cough drops, etc. with written parental permission. Any other medications outside the standing orders must have a medical professional’s signature in order to be given at school.

If medications are to be taken during the school day, please have your medical professional complete the Permission Form for Prescribed or Over-the-Counter Medication.

This form can be found on the district website under Quick Links – New Medication Guidelines or it can be obtained at your child’s school.
