Ms.Wright

This week's Staff Spotlight is Ms. Bailey Wright. This is Ms. Wright's first year teaching ever. She attended Western Kentucky University where she received her teaching degree and enjoyed the culture and people. She currently lives in Muhlenberg County and enjoys the commute to Ohio County.

Ms. Wright states that she enjoys teaching Biology because she grew up in the Land Between the Lakes area and nature has always been important to her. She states, “My father always took me camping and we even own a boat and a lake property on Lake Barkley!" This allowed her the opportunity to interact with nature, which, she says, "has always fascinated” her.  With these experiences Ms. Wright enjoys teaching Biology because of her love for nature.

Her reason for wanting to become a teacher is that she likes to help students learn new things. “I have always enjoyed giving and sharing knowledge with others,” she states. She plans to incorporate labs, escape rooms, and other activities into this school year to create the most fun and interesting experience possible for her students. Ms. Wright is most excited about seeing the growth in her students.

In her final thoughts, Ms. Wright shared her interest in being a math teacher if she did not teach Biology. She states that she has “always been a math person.”

It is so wonderful to welcome Ms. Wright to our OCHS team!
