The new Eagles Journalism course led by Elizabeth Rowe have completed their first round of interviews. Students in the class worked in pairs to interview new staff members in preparation for their selection as the weekly "Staff Spotlight". This activity helped the students get into the groove of future assignments in the course and will help them gradually improve with future responsibilities in the class. They spent time learning proper interview techniques before meeting with the teachers. Students learned how to ask questions, use good body language, take notes during the interviews, and did a few practice interviews with each other so they could get authentic experience. These exercises helped them become more comfortable with each other and with the activity itself.
