On September 24th, Mrs. Ciera Boyter took her AP Environmental Science class to the football field for an activity about parental care in offspring. Mrs. Boyter’s students used bubbles to display how long survival lasts with or without a parent. Her classes are currently learning about how populations grow depending on different parental care strategies. Mrs. Boyter’s goal for her students during this activity was to truly understand the idea that if parental care is not given to offsprings, then they do not enter adulthood in certain environments.
