Ms. Wright's Anatomy students have done a very interesting project by making presentations on different skin diseases and disorders without telling the name of what they are presenting. Instead students are diagnosing the disorder by using the clues and information in the presentations. In these presentations students show what areas of the skin are affected, symptoms, and visuals of what it would look like. By doing this they are mirroring what healthcare workers do to diagnose patients daily. Making these informed conclusions allows students to get a better understanding of how the skin works, as well as preparing them for how the diagnosing process actually works in healthcare compared to just memorizing disease and their side effects.
