Mrs. Blankenship’s Integrated social studies class has completed a group presentation based upon the 5 themes of geography. The students had a strong rubric to follow that made their presentations the best they could be. Some key rules in the rubric were:
The group must research and present a country that is not the United States.
Use the 5 themes of geography (location, place, human-environment interaction, movement, and regions) to educate their peers about the country.
A slideshow presentation, poster, and a representative item are required.
Everyone must thoroughly participate in the project.
The posters and slideshows were filled with color and enthusiasm for their interest in the country they selected.
