On October 5th in Mrs. Cornell's classroom, her Biology students did a fun activity: making cells out of candy. Mrs. Cornell’s Biology class is currently in their cells unit. They are focusing on the structure and functions of the cell and different organelles. This activity allowed the students to see and construct a cell hands-on instead of just looking at notes. Mrs. Cornell’s goal for her students during this activity was for her students to show her what they truly knew about the cell. The most challenging part was making sure that her class understood every function and detail. This activity was memorable for her class because of the candy!
